How to Set up a Printer a Computer (9 Steps)
Remove all of the cables and components for the computer from their box if necessary.
Set the tower close to where you wish to set up the PC, but keep it in the open so it will be easier to reach the cables in the back.
Plug the power cord into the port on the back of the case and into the wall outlet. Connect the keyboard and mouse via USB or PS/2. The USB ports are rectangular metal slots. PS/2 slots are purple and green ports on the back of the PC.

Turn on the PC. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your operating system.
Remove the printer and other attachments from the box. Attach any separated parts to the printer by following the quick-start guide included with the printer.
