How to Print a 1099 on an Inkjet Printer


Access the hyperlink to Form 1099. If the employer sent the form via your email address, then sign into your email account to see the email and form attachment. If the employer posted the form on a website, sign into the website with the user name and password provided by the organization.
Click the form's hyperlink, which opens a dialog box in most Internet browsers (or email clients). Select the 'Open With' radio button or a similar option. Choose 'Adobe Reader' from the menu and then click the 'OK' button.
Wait for the Internet browser to download Form 1099 to your PC and then display the form within the browser's window using the 'Adobe Reader' plug-in. Alternatively, the form may automatically open and display in the 'Adobe Reader' program, separate from your browser.
Click the 'Printer' icon on the toolbar at the top of the 'Adobe Reader' to open the 'Print' dialog box.
Open the 'Name' menu under the 'Printer' section in the dialog box. Select the name of the inkjet printer, such as 'Brother,' 'HP,' 'Lexmark' or 'Dell.' Click the 'OK' button to print out Form 1099.
