How to Adjust Color Intensity on the Canon PIXMA MX310
Turn on your Canon PIXMA MX310 printer.
Push 'COPY' on the operation panel. Load the printer with paper and with the document(s) that you need to copy.
Press 'Settings' on the panel repeatedly until you see 'INTENSITY' on the screen and an asterisk (*) to the left of the 'MANUAL ADJUST' option. Press the 'Left Arrow' to brighten/dilute or the 'Right Arrow' to darken/intensify the colors. Adjust any other settings as desired.
Select 'Color' or 'Black' to begin printing your copies.
Go to Printer Properties to access the Canon PIXMA MX310's Manual Color Adjustment screen. To go to Printer Properties from within an application, select 'File' > 'Print' > 'Canon PIXMA MX310' > 'Preferences' or 'Properties.' To go to Printer Properties from the Windows 7 'Start' button, select 'Start' > 'Devices & Printers,' then right-click on the Canon PIXMA MX310 and then click 'Printing Properties.'
Select the 'Main' tab on the window that opens.
Choose the circle to the left of 'Manual' in the 'Color/Intensity' section. Click 'Set...' to open the Manual Color Adjustment screen.
Click the slider located on the horizontal 'Intensity:' bar. Move it left or right along the bar to brighten/dilute or darken/intensify the image---comparing the 'Original' image to the 'Preview' image as you work.
Adjust any other settings on the screen as desired and then click 'OK' to save your settings. Click 'OK' on the 'Main' tab screen. Begin printing.
