How to Find an Inkjet Printer with Fast Print Speeds

Make a budget. Faster printers tend to be more expensive. Know how much you are willing to spend for the time you'd be saving with faster print speeds.
Ask around for recommendations. Talk to family, friends or neighbors to see if they've had good luck with high-speed printers.
Think about what you usually print (pictures? school papers? massive corporate reports?) to determine the print speed you need. Most high-speed printers print about 30 black-and-white pages per minute and about 24 color pages per minute.
Consider what paper type you usually use. Some high-speed printers do not print well on glossy paper. Although a high-speed printer may not be the best choice for printing high-quality photos, it might be great for printing research papers or presentations.
Ask for print samples. Once you have narrowed down your final choices of high-speed printers, ask for sample print-outs. You might have to pay for these copies, but this step will help you decide whether or not the quality is good enough for your needs.
Purchase the printer you feel is right for you once you've weighed your options and potential uses.
