How to Install a Printer Using a Group Policy


Click 'Start,' then 'Control Panel' and 'System and Security.'
Click 'Administrative Tools,' then 'Print Management.'
Click 'Print Servers' in the left pane of the window, then click the print server you want to use and click 'Printers.'
Right-click on the printer you want to install from the center pane, then select 'Deploy with Group Policy' from the pop-up list.
Click 'Browse' in the Deploy with Group Policy dialog box, then select the Group Policy you want to use and click 'OK.'
Click the check box next to the settings to deploy the printer to computers or users. For example, to deploy the printer to groups of users click the check box next to 'The computers that this GPO applies to (per machine).' Click 'Add,' then 'OK.'
