How to Print Wirelessly From a MacBook
Open your MacBook's 'System Preferences' and click 'Print and Fax.'
Click the '+' sign to add a new printer. At this point, depending on your setup, you can either add a new printer connected to a different computer (Steps 3 and 4) or a wireless printer (Step 5).
Enable printer sharing on the other computer by opening 'System Preferences' and clicking on 'Sharing' in the third row. Ensure that the 'Printer Sharing' check box is enabled.
Return to your MacBook and add the printer connected to the other computer. It will be named '[Printer model] @ [Computer Name].' For example, it will be listed as 'HP Laserjet 1300 @ Jim's iMac.' Now you can send documents wirelessly to that printer, as long as the computer connected to the printer is powered on.
Add a Wi-Fi enabled printer by finding it in the 'Add Printer' dialog box (Step 2). Ensure that the printer is powered on and properly connected to your home or office wireless network.
