How to Take a Printer Offline (7 Steps)

Click the Windows icon in the lower-left corner of your desktop, and then click 'Devices and Printers.'
Right-click the printer you want to disable, and then click 'Printer Properties.'
Click 'Sharing' and uncheck the box next to 'Share this printer.'
Click 'OK' to save the settings.



Click the Apple menu, and then click 'System Preferences.'
