How to Reset an HP 3030 Printer

Cut the power to the HP 3030 by pulling the power cord free from the back of the printer. Wait a few minutes, and then reconnect the power cord to the rear of the HP 3030.
Turn the printer back on and allow for complete start-up. Place a sheet of paper in the paper feeder to run a test pattern. If the printer is working properly, the reset was a success. If not, continue to step 3.
Disconnect the USB cable leading from your HP 3030. Insert your printer installation disc into your computer's CD drive. Wait for it to automatically launch. Select 'setup' from the menu and click on 'remove HP3030b'. This uninstalls all printer programs from your computer.
Plug the USB cable back into your HP 3030. The printer installation disc will immediately recognize it and reinstall the software.
Print out another test sheet to make certain all issues were corrected.
