How to Reset an HP Laser Jet 4 Printer

Press the 'Shift' and 'Menu' buttons at the same time. Hold the buttons down until you see 'RESET=MENU' appear on the screen.
Press the '+' key until 'MENU*' appears on the display. Press 'Enter' to select the menu reset option.
Press 'ON LINE' to complete the system reset. Watch the display for the 'Reset Complete' notification.
