How to Change a Dell 926 Printer Cartridge

Press the power button, located near the bottom of the control panel, to turn on the Dell 926 printer.
Lift up[ the top half of the printer. A small bar on the right side will swing down. Position the end of that bar between the two tabs on the lower half of the printer, to keep the top half in the up position. Once the top half is in the up position, the cartridge carrier will automatically move to the opening in the center of the printer.
Push down on one of the two levers, located on the end of the cartridge carrier, to raise the respective cartridge lid. The black ink cartridge, or the photo ink cartridge if your printer is currently set up to print pictures, is located on the left side, while the color ink cartridge is located on the right.
Lift up on the end of the ink cartridge until the cartridge is at about a 45 degree angle to the printer base. Then pull the cartridge out of the cartridge carrier.
Remove the tape from the end of your replacement cartridge. Insert the cartridge into the carrier at a 45 degree angle, and then lower the end of the cartridge into place.
Close the cartridge carrier lids, ensuring that they snap into place. Lift up on the top half of the printer to release the support bar. Push the bar back against the top half of the printer as you lower that half back into place.
